If you’ve ever wondered what actually makes an event transformational—not just inspirational—this episode pulls back the curtain.
In this conversation, Taylor Smith is joined by Event Experience Coordinator Whitney Robinson to break down exactly how Power Table LIVE was designed, built, and executed to create real outcomes for the women in the room.
This isn’t a conversation about logistics—it’s about intention, environment, and the strategic decisions that turn a conference into a catalyst for visibility, authority, and opportunity.
Inside This Episode
What Makes Power Table LIVE Different:
- Why this isn’t a “sit back and take notes” type of event
- The shift from what will I learn? → who will I become?
- The three core transformations the entire experience is built around: Clarity → Visibility → Authority
How the Experience Was Designed (Not Just the Agenda)
- Why most events fail to create real results
- The role of environment in driving decision-making and action
- How every element was engineered for activation, not just information
Behind the Scenes of Building the Event
- The complexity most people never see
- The level of detail required to make something feel “effortless”
- Why attendee experience was the non-negotiable priority
Why the Room Matters
- Why Power Table LIVE is intentionally capped
- How proximity, access, and relationships shape opportunity
- The long-term impact of putting yourself in the right rooms
The women who leave with the biggest results aren’t the ones who took the most notes— They’re the ones who turned the room into momentum.

If you're listening to this podcast episode and you're coming to Power Table Live this year, first of all, as you hit play on this, I'm so excited to see you in just a couple of days. And if you're not coming to Power Table Live this year, this episode is going to give you a behind the scenes look about what the event is like, why we built our event the way that we did, and what makes Power Table Live so different from anything else you've ever experienced. And I can pretty much guarantee you're going to want to be in the room with us next year. Because Power Table Live is not just a conference, it is a room designed to change how you see yourself, how others see you, and the level of opportunities that you have that you will be able to walk into next. And I actually invited someone very special onto this episode, Whitney Robinson, our event coordinator, because I thought it would be really cool for you to not just hear about the vision from me, but to hear what it actually looked like to bring this to life from behind the scenes from someone on our team. So, Whitney, welcome to the podcast. Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. I'm so excited for this. Um, so maybe we could start with a little bit about you telling everyone what your role has been behind the scenes with Power Table Live.
SPEAKER_00It's it's been so much fun. So I'm actually overseeing really the attendee experience, um, some of the logistics, the flow of the show, essentially. Um and we're really where we've been working together to make sure everything just feels absolutely seamless. So a lot of the things I do, if I'm doing them right, you're probably not gonna notice them. Um, you'll feel it, but you won't realize that that's what it is. Um and I've I've really been working with you to kind of bridge when you have this vision, how we execute that. Um and we've talked through a lot of you know, your ideas for Power Table Lab together and really looked at it from the perspective of not only does this provide a positive experience in the room, but like, how is this going to actually add to the transformation that we're going for? Um, every little detail has been so intentional and so well thought out. And I that's been one of the coolest things to get to see working with you for Power Table Live.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was actually just about to say the tiniest details is really where you are um bringing our vision to life. And really, you like you've just added. I I don't even want to say bring my vision to life because actually you've added such a beautiful layer of touch points for every single person in the room to make them feel welcome, to make them feel like they belong, and also to make sure that they get out of the room what we have promised them and to make sure that like they actually leave with results, with ideas, action, connection, and collaboration. And if you guys could see behind the scenes, like we're obviously a remote team, but there, you know, there are attendee flow maps and diagrams and charts and all of these different things that basically we've like planned out strategically and structurally every single minute of the attendee experience. And so I want to start there with what people can expect when they're walking into the room at Power Table Live. Um, because I think that most people walk into an event thinking only about the talks. They're gonna say to themselves, what am I gonna learn? But I actually think the better question that you could use walking into Power Table Live is who am I going to become in this room and after this room with the knowledge and connections that I have gained? Because that is what Power Table Live is. It's not just about what you learn, it's a it's so much more than that. And so if you're coming, you're gonna notice very quickly. This is not a sit back and take notes kind of environment. You know, we're really emphasizing participation, connection, decisions. And we built this event around three core transformations. So the first one is clarity. We want you to get crystal clear on exactly what you want to be known for. The second one is visibility. Um, we want people to understand how do you get in the right rooms, how do you get the opportunities, how do you get your content to do what you want it to do? And then the last one is authority. And we teach you how to move like someone who is operating at a higher level, how to actually step into that leadership role that you know that you are meant for. Because all of these things, clarity, visibility, authority, they're not just based on what you know. And a lot of people actually mistakenly think my work should speak for itself, right? My services should be good enough, my work should speak for itself. And unfortunately, the reality is in 2026, it does not work that way. It is about who you know, it's about how you show up and how you're perceived. So, Whitney, from your perspective, now that I've shared a little bit about what people um can expect is the focus at Power Table Live. When you stepped into this and you saw how PTL was being designed, what felt different to you with this room compared to other events that I know you've attended or you've worked behind the scenes? This is I love this question. I got so excited about this.
SPEAKER_00So please dish like share everything behind the scenes. It's fantastic. One of the things I think is the is really the biggest difference that I've seen is your planning starts with the women in the room. Like, and what what I mean by that is you're not building something and you're not planning something around yourself or your offer, or you know, they are the ones driving every decision that you've put into this well before I even came on board. Um, so getting to come in and see that, you know, after some of it had already been um had already been started has been a really cool thing to see. Um and and like I said, it's just about them and their transformation above all else. So that's that's been really impressive. Um and like you said, it's not a passive experience, right? Like we're we're building this to be highly interactive. It's not just, you know, another conference that you're gonna leave with a notebook full or maybe not full of notes that you may or may not implement later. Like you're actually going to these breakouts, going to these workshops. You're going to get that clarity in real time and see where your business is moving, um, which is not something you get in every room. So that that is something that's very different. Um, we've intentionally planned everything from, you know, like we talked about, just small logistics to how the energy in the room flows. Um, so that really makes a big difference. And, you know, you're not just sitting in a chair for eight hours listening to people talk at you. Um, so that's that's another big difference. Um we're we're connecting on a real level at Power Table. And I've and I've been at Power Table before, um, before getting to work with you this year. So I can I I feel like I can truly say that. Like you're you're connecting with these people on such a deep level um that it there are relationships that have been continued to be built a year later um by people who knew knew no one when they walked in. So um that's really something that that a lot of people can expect walking in. You know, you're not getting, here's a session, here's another session, another session, and now we leave. Um and another thing I think is really important to mention is that you're not just you're not just getting this like high for lack of a better word of being at this event, and then you leave and it just all comes crashing down. Like you have, you have changed after you leave the room. Um, and so that's I can't I love getting to see that happen in real time. So I'm I'm really excited to see that happen for all the women that are coming in this year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It kind of is hard to put into words, right? Like what actually is what it's like inside of Power Table Live. And I'll just say this when it comes to connections. I had someone tell me yesterday who came a year ago and she's coming back. She told me that she tracked all of the connections that she made from PTL last year. And she told me that in the past year she has done 32 virtual coffee chats solely from that room. And some of those people went on to buy tickets to her own event, some joined her membership, some people invited her onto stages or podcasts. But if you think about that, like outside of an event, how long would it take you to find 32 aligned people to connect with? Right. A long time, right? And instead to have basically a year's worth of high value connections in one day. Um, and I think it like it's very hard to describe and put into words a lot of what happens at Power Table Live, but that can be to me a very tangible way to show. Okay, I want to share details with people. I'm really bad at keeping secrets. I don't know if I told you this or anybody else. I'm like, you wouldn't have to twist my arm very far to get information out of me. But something I care very deeply about and where I think a lot of events fall short is that they're focused too much on the information provided and the content, right? We touch on that just a little bit, but like information alone doesn't produce results. It's the environment around that information. So when we plan to hit power table live, we don't just ask the question, what is it that we want people to learn? It's rather what needs to happen in the room for someone to leave different, to have tangible outcomes, and to have stronger clarity and self-trust to then once they're gone and they're out of this environment, to be able to continue and take action on their own. Because you can't sit in a room all day and take the notes and think every speaker was so great. And then you leave and nothing changes. So we've engineered the environment and the experience around decision making and activation. And I think this is where a lot of events miss the mark. That's why, you know, at Power Table Live, people are, you know, we engineer conversations, um, visibility and connection are built in, content is built in. We um really focus on that real-time application and integration. And so something I want to share with people for this year that is new is that um even the talks themselves are structured this way. So we ended up creating three different tracks for all of our workshops and breakouts so that people could identify and choose which workshops are gonna make the most sense for them. So we have three tracks. The first one is foundation, which is focused on clarity and positioning and visibility. So if you're in the earlier stages of your business, or maybe you have gone through a pivot, you're really struggling with that positioning piece, maybe you're doing something new for the first time. Um, a lot of our power table attendees often are not on their first business, but their second or third. And figuring out the messaging and positioning is different for every single one, right? So you might not be new to business, but maybe you're new to what you're doing. And so the foundation track workshops are going to be the most beneficial for that. Then we have expansion. And this is for the entrepreneur in the room who is more established, they're working on scaling, they're growing their authority, they want much bigger opportunities than simply just client acquisition. So they're like, I want to get on stages, I want to get on podcasts, I want the brand deals, I want, you know, to speak for corporate entities. Like the person who's ready for that is going to be most interested in our expansion track. And then um, we have some wildcard workshops. So the wild card track I think is really fun. It's just unexpected breakthroughs. We have some uh speaking topics and speaking pitches that I was like, this is so freaking cool and not something that people get to learn very often, especially in live and in person. And so these might be something that appeals to you know founders at every level of business, but maybe they haven't learned that really specific thing. Um, because I feel like at the end of the day, the reason we've created these tracks is that everyone is at a different stage, but everyone is ready for their next level. So we've built in a way for to help people make decisions around which workshops do I need to focus on for my exact business. And so, Whitney, I want to bring you in here. Um, spill the beans, like spill the tea. What are some of the details behind the scenes that you have worked on that people would never really think about, but you feel like are gonna make a big difference at Power Table Live? And take some credit, girlfriend. Like you've done a lot of you've brought really great ideas. So take the credit here as well.
SPEAKER_00First, I have to say these wildcard, these wildcard breakouts that we have are really cool. So I'm I'm excited to see because like you said, it's just kind of it's something you don't really get everywhere. So those are gonna be fun. Um, but one thing we've really done well, I feel like, is kind of reverse-engineered what creates results for the people in the room. So we've really focused on how you can connect with people who are both in similar places in their business and also the people that will help you, you know, get to that next level. Um, and whether that's between like attendees or attendees and the speaker on the stage, like our speakers are really immersed and really involved in and really just a part of the event overall, not just their stage time. Um, so that's that's a really cool, really cool experience as someone who got to experience that last year. That's not something that I expected. Um, a couple of fun things that we have. I'm really excited about. We have a give and ask wall. Um so if there's something that you really need, whether like we've talked about like visibility or you know, you're looking for somebody to help you with ops in your business or finance or whatever. And I say those because those are things that I'm not very good at.
SPEAKER_01So Whitney and I will have a lot of asks on the wall.
SPEAKER_00Um, so you know, if there are things that you need a little bit of help with, but also you have something that you, you know, you see someone needs with something that you're really good at, you have a way to reach out to them and say, hey, let me give you these ideas, let me give you these tips. And um, I think that's something that's that that's one of those really intentional things that I think are gonna make a very big difference. So we also have ribbons for badges, and this is something that we did last year. And I think the people demanded it, if I'm not mistaken.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So last year, my sister, who's on my team, did a lot of the behind-the-scenes work on these ribbons, and she was like, I never want to do this again. And then I told her, I was like, the people require this. So we're doing it again.
SPEAKER_00So we brought it back. Um, but what's really cool about the ribbons is like these are helping start genuine conversations, right? So you're you, as someone, you know, say that wants to get a more podcast. If you see somebody who has a ribbon that says they're a podcaster, talk to them. If you see somebody who has a ribbon that says, you know, they're a seven-figure entrepreneur and you're just now getting started, like there are questions that you can ask that person to help you get to that next step faster. Like there are there are brains in this room that you need to take advantage of, um, you know, while we're here. So the ribbons, I can see why they were demanded to come back this year. And my introverted friends, it's very helpful for you. Um, I promise. It it makes it just gives you a place to start.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So just to like explain that too, if you're listening to this and you're like, what do you mean? So when you get to Power Table Live at check-in, you will get to choose specific ribbons that you can stick onto your badge with your name. So then everyone else can see what it is that you are looking for and who you are. So we have ribbons that say things like, you know, I'm a six-figure business owner, seven-figure business owner, I'm a podcaster, I'm looking for collaboration, seeking friends. Like we have all of these different options for you to choose from. And it benefits you because you get to tell people what you want to be known for. But then also it benefits you for conversations starting with other people. Because it is hard, right? And especially the longer that you go on in the day, the more tired you get. You're like, I want those connections, and I cannot complete a sentence. Um so you can walk up to someone, as Whitney said, and be like, Oh, you have a podcast. Tell me more about your podcast. I would love to hear about that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it it works. Let me tell you. We had last year just like I said, uh so many conversations, so many connections because of those. And um, it's just very helpful. And then, you know, another thing, like we're we've built all of these things because, like we said before, you we don't want you leaving the room just with a bunch of ideas because those are gonna stay in your notebook and they're not gonna come out and they're not gonna actually get implemented. So, you know, we've really focused on making sure you get to leave with relationships, with connections, momentum, and actually like feel that transformation while you're there. Um, there's one one of the attendees from last year, and this really surprised me, just knowing her now. She said, I walked into that room knowing nobody and other than Taylor, which she said was kind of a stretch because she'd met you like for a second.
SPEAKER_01Once, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But like that just shocked me because she's such an integral part of the community now. So, like, you you never know what you're gonna get from this. It's it's that, it's just that good. I don't like I said, I can't find words for it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I want to switch gears for a minute and talk about what the people are gonna actually learn at Power Table Live this year, because I just said like other conferences focus too much on education, but I know you're also coming for education and you're ready to be poured into um from experts in their field who are going to share like not just um what you need to know, like we really focus on show, not tell, but then also very specifically, like what is working right now within the last three or six months, not something that is the same, you know, workshop or keynote someone's been giving for four or five years that's no longer relevant to the average business owner right now. So I want to start with VIP Day because I feel like this is where things get really, really powerful. And if you're a VIP, this day is about who you are when those opportunities start coming to you. So we get into the emotional side of leadership, um, the cost of being the first or only, the fact that the world needs the version of you that is not perfect or not ready. The world needs you right now, and really letting go of feeling like you have to perform and have to get it right 100% of the time, as like a high achieving, probably oldest daughter, like, hi, it's me, I'm the problem. Um, and really stepping into leadership. And then I'm teaching a workshop on VIP Day that is called Why Some People Get the Yes. And um, we're doing an opportunity readiness assessment. We have a live quiz we're doing in real time because most people say they want visibility, but then if they're not getting the opportunities they want, it's because they're not properly positioned for it. So it's not that people don't want to say yes to you, it's that you're not quite aligned and ready for that yes. So I have a live quiz where we'll be breaking down, you know, what is your readiness level for the opportunities you do want and how to become the obvious choice instead of simply an option. And then on the back end of the quiz, for those who are VIPs, it will actually tell you which of the remaining workshops at Power Table Live, particularly on day two, are going to be the most beneficial for where you are. And then the rest of the workshops for the day are very hands-on. So we have a PR and media workshop where Lindy Akers, who has been a guest on this podcast, um talks about how to get featured in print and digital media. Um, Larissa Watlington, who is my personal speaking coach and also an Emmy-winning producer, is gonna be teaching a confidence workshop. She's so incredible, by the way, if you have not met her. Like she's amazing. And she's gonna be teaching how do you feel more comfortable and more confident in the way you stand, in the way you move, and get into these very little details that I feel like no one teaches you for those high-stakes visibility moments like podcasts, stages, and media. And then also we have a workshop for that VIP day on brand reputation by Steph Rubio, who is in our mastermind. She's teaching about how a lot of people think in their business that the person that they need to pay the most attention to, provide the best service to, is their clients. But the reality is that your brand's reputation is impacted by so many other people. Everyone who comes into contact with your business, including, you know, collaborators, friends, peers, mentors, you know, podcasts and event hosts, there's so many other people that when you have a stellar experience with all of those stakeholders, people will go on to say your name in rooms that you're not even in, and your offers will ultimately sell themselves. Very excited for this workshop by Steph. So all of those things put together is our VIP day. So, Whitney, I just have one quick question for you about VIP Day before we talk about the VIP party. And that is when you were going through this agenda, what is maybe something that stood out to you the most about the VIP Day?
SPEAKER_00I think I probably sent you like three or four messages that were like, oh my God, this lineup. This is so good. But I so the everything we're going over, like you said, the the names of the topics we're going over, but like really digging into those, these are deep. These are not surface level, like these are built for VIP day. Like they're there, there's a reason that these are chosen for the VIP Day. And, you know, one of the things that we've kind of said and been really intentional about saying is that every woman that walks into this room belongs there. And so no matter where you are in your business, Taylor said this and it kind of gave me chills the first time I heard it, but like the woman, like the version of you that bought that ticket, knew that you were ready to be there. And I think, you know, these sessions and these workshops really prove this. Like there are topics. No matter what area you're in in your business, you're getting on calls with people. Like you're gonna be able to implement things that Taylor Windsey and Steph talk about, even if you are more in that foundational track. So it's it's it's for everybody, everybody that walks in there. Um some events I think tend to get really woo, I think, for lack of a better way to say that. But and then, you know, you go between really kind of woo-woo type stuff, and then on the complete opposite end, you've got the things that are so hardcore that you leave and you're just completely drained and you don't know what's happened. This is such the perfect marriage of like strategy, but also looking at your identity and where you're going. Um, that I think that's that's been very, very done very, very well. Um and these speakers have have done what they're teaching, right? They're not just getting up there talking about something that sounds good, like they are walking the walk, they have the outcomes, not just the hype or the you know, getting on stage for the heck of it. Like they've done this. Um, so they're really, really wonderful people to learn from. Um and everybody that comes in is going to walk away with real tools to use. Um, I think last year you're you're gonna know the numbers better than I do, but last year there was somebody who implemented, I think, one thing that ended up bringing, was it $20,000 or something in into her business within the next like month or two? Um so it it's just like you're getting real tangible things that are going to change your business and change your life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I, as you were speaking, I was thinking like there's two things that I generally avoid putting on stage at Power Table Live. And it's not because these things are bad, but it's not in alignment with our goal, and that's the woo and the why. I think one, like, not that we don't, you know, want to work on identity, but also like you paid a lot of money to come here. I'm gonna make sure you get outcomes. Um, and then the second thing is a lot of conferences, like the presentations are focused on the why. Why do you need this platform? Why do you need this tool? Why do you need this strategy? And that could be Googled, that could be searched on chat GBT. I'm not gonna have you come for someone to tell you the why. I want our speakers to show you the how. And so VIP Day, I honestly, it's so special to me. I don't think I've talked about this often enough, but it was basically like I basically put my board of advisors into the VIP Day, is what I did. Um, and so you're getting the people who I've learned so much from in workshops that typically like their coaching would cost thousands and thousands of dollars for you to work with them individually, and instead they're coming in and teaching um for you in this one day. So it's just really special.
SPEAKER_00And they're and they're worth those thousands and thousands of dollars. So for them to be there is really, really special. And we're so grateful that it's gonna make such a phenomenal experience. I can't wait. I can't wait to get to listen to myself.
SPEAKER_01So also if you're listening to this in your GA, it is not too late. Like, well, it might be too late. My team might not agree with me, but when this episode comes out, but you want to come to VIP Day, uh, we will make it happen if you want to upgrade.
SPEAKER_00We will.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So last part of VIP Day is the VIP party, and we have to talk about that and officially announce our sponsor for the VIP night, because this is one of my favorite parts of the entire experience. Because it gives all of the women coming to Power Table Live who have already chosen to be VIP, to make that investment into themselves, to step into that next level and say, okay, this is what it feels like if my next level is my new normal. This is what it feels like to have the people and tools that I need to support my growth at that level. So our VIP party is an incredible oceanfront evening experience at sunset. It's designed to feel very elevated and connected. We're gonna have conversations. You guys, like the venue, like it overlooks the ocean, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You're gonna have a cocktail or mocktail in your hand. And our speakers come to the VIP night too. So you're gonna have extra time to talk to those speakers one-to-one that you typically wouldn't get, as well as networking with the other VIPs. And it's officially presented by our creativity and productivity partner, Adobe Acrobat. And I'm so grateful and so excited to have them as a sponsor. And when I tell you, if you were at Power Table Live last year, you're like the VIP mixer, it was nice, it was fun, but like this is a next level upgrade that you have not seen before. So, Whitney, what are you most excited about?
SPEAKER_00I when you say it's another, it's a it's a next level upgrade. Like, you are not exaggerating. This place is stunning. Um, really, for VIP night, one of my favorite things to see is just like there's this energy shift that it's I can't even call it subtle. Like you just see different people walk in. Like, this is where the walls come down. This is where like we're all on that same playing field at this point. We're all like, we're all there to just build relationships and meet with each other and talk. And, you know, this is where some of those year-long relationships that you're building, this is where they start. Um and the conversations really get a lot deeper here. Um, and I think that's that's something that you you will visibly be able to see, just that that energy change. Um and like I said, this is where those conversations are gonna happen that you're gonna keep thinking about until next year.
SPEAKER_01All right. We got to keep going because I'm gonna jam this podcast full of all the good stuff. So let's talk about day two, um, which I think is like where we get to expand. My vision for this day was open up possibilities. Open up possibilities of different revenue streams, of messaging ideas, how to show up bolder, how to show up differently, expanding into things people haven't done before. So most of our speakers and workshops are actually on general admission day. Those are those breakouts and tracks that we mentioned. So we have people teaching things like how to build your authority on a specific social media platform, such as threads. We have someone teaching on how to double your podcast downloads. So if you have a podcast, this is a total side note, but over half of our attendees have podcasts, including people that have millions and millions of downloads who are frequently in the top Apple charts. You're going to want to come solely if you're a podcaster because of the ability to swap and learn and connect with other podcasters. We have people teaching on messaging and content, corporate partnerships, um, as well as AI, SEO, search, and like how things are changing right now as well. So it's gonna be really, really great. And um, one workshop in particular that I want to spotlight is our content creation lab, which is presented by our official partner, Adobe Acrobat. And one of the biggest gaps that um I see often at events is you have these ideas, you have these incredible thoughts, and then you're just sitting there like, oh my gosh, this is so good. This is gonna change everything. I can't wait to get started. Like you almost want to like walk out of the room and just like start right then, right? But then you leave and you get back home and you're like, I don't know, I felt so great then, but my brain is completely empty now. It's just pure fog. And you can't remember how you said the thing in the moment. You can't fully capture the insight once you kind of already left. And so what we're doing instead is we've had this content creation lab where we're teaching you how to take those breakthroughs and turn them into content, visibility, and opportunity and create content that then actually conveys the things that you want it to in real time while you're in the energy of the room. And this is where our partner, Adobe Acrobat, comes in in such a powerful way. So we have a workshop where we're teaching you um how to use Adobe Acrobat Studio, how to turn your ideas into content, how to use tools like AI Assistant that will refine and expand your messaging. So you've maybe heard me if you have attended any of our LinkedIn lives this spring or here on the podcast, talk about how um how much I enjoy AI Assistant because it really uses my brand voice very, very well, unlike other AI tools. That's a little bit about our content creation workshop. Uh day two is gonna be really, really good, really great. Whitney, what are you excited for attendees to experience on day two specifically?
SPEAKER_00Day two, I think, is gonna be just incredible because of like there, there's so much practicality coming out of it. Like the Adobe workshop is gonna be phenomenal. Um, and I'm really excited to get to see AI assistant work in real time. But, you know, these are things that you're actually going to be able to implement, like Taylor said, like while you are there, um that's where your confidence grows throughout the day. That's where like you prove to yourself that you are the one who takes action. And that's what this whole day is about. Um and personally, I just love getting to watch those light bulb moments happen. Um, as people are learning and implementing and things like that, they it just gets you so excited. And you can physically watch somebody shifting from that learning mindset to they're owning it. They're they're they're doing the thing and they are getting out there.
SPEAKER_01Can I ask you a question that you didn't know was coming?
SPEAKER_00Of course.
SPEAKER_01What do you feel like was a light bulb moment for you last year at Power Table Live?
SPEAKER_00Boy, I started a whole new business from Power Table last year. So I don't, I don't know if I could pinpoint one particular light bulb moment, but I think I think being one of those people, and I don't think I've ever told you this, Taylor. Like, I came to Power Table Live last year because our mutual friend, also Taylor, told me that I needed to be there. And I was like, I have no idea why. I don't really think I'm not at a place where I should be in this room. But like obviously she knew something that I didn't. So I was like, okay, well, I'll go. So I was one of those people who walked in, like, what in the world am I doing here? And then left with just a slew full of cheerleaders in my corner and people who like have poured into me more than I ever expected. Um, and so I think I don't know if it's one particular light bulb moment. It was really the whole, the whole two days.
SPEAKER_01I love that. First of all, I did not know that. I knew Taylor invited you, but I didn't know that you were questioning whether you were meant to be there. But I think that's like such an important thing for people to hear, right? Because the stories we tell ourselves is often different from the reality of we actually are ready. We're maybe just a few steps away and a few connections away from where we want to be. So hopping back behind the scenes a little bit, um, because we've talked about now what people can expect, the incredible workshops. Um, what do you think is something from behind the scenes and the planning and strategy side of Power Table Live that you feel like people would never expect?
SPEAKER_00That's a really good question. I think unless you host an event, you don't really know how much goes into the back end and all of the decisions that are made, how like the complexity of all of it and making it all run together and you know feel so seamless. Um, and that's something that I think you know, you and our team has done a really great job of of getting all of those those things pieced together very well. Um it's constant decision making and it's constant like triaging of of what needs to be handled when, um which as a as a an RN, that's kind of my brain. I love it.
SPEAKER_01It's all coming together now for me, like your background is an RN to like how you're able to, you know, really deep dive and execute on event strategy and event experience so well. It finally all just clicked for me on this podcast.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, oh yeah, and critical care is my background. So the the high stress uh things are are kind of where I thrive. But you know, and and being in the behind the scenes piece, you see how much like adjustment in real time has to happen. There's a lot of of decisions that have happened, you know, in the last couple of weeks and will continue to happen up until doors close. So um, you know, getting to to see that. Those those are kind of the things that people don't see, and they shouldn't. Like that's not something as an attendee, you need you need to be focused on your business. Like we're we have the rest of it handled. So um, you know, the even even when the to-do list gets longer and longer, and it, and there's still things that we, you know, are adding to to take care of between now and then, like, first priority is always the experience of the women in the room. Um, and so that's that's been something that I've felt like has had zero room to compromise. Um, and that's I think another thing that makes Power Table Live so so much different than a lot of other events. Um, but I think everybody that walks in that room are gonna, they're gonna be able to feel that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. They won't have seen the exact decisions or conversations that made it happen, but truly just everybody on the team, like I'm so grateful for you and Shelby, who's our planner and our team of volunteers and like our sponsors and partners, like every single person involved is fully committed to making sure that the women in the room have the experience that we have promised them and that have those two days to be poured into and really show up for themselves. And it's just it's so cool to see. And I'm I'm so excited. Um and if you're listening to this, Power Table Live 2026 is sold out, so that's amazing. I didn't know if I was gonna end up saying this on the podcast, but it we we sold out the event. And the truth is that was also kind of intentional. Like I made the decision to cap the room because quality matters to me. The having the right people in the room matters, having the right relationships matters, and having access too. So even if it's, you know, I think there are events with 500, 600, 800 women in the room, and people are constantly asking me this question is that where you're taking power table live? Like next year there's gonna be 500 people here. And for those of you listening who don't know, we have under 200 um women coming. But one, I think the answer is, I don't know, maybe at some point we'll get to that level. But my priority is actually making sure that you have the relationships and the access to the right people. And when the room gets too big, that access becomes almost impossible in a sense because there's just too many people for you to be able to have those conversations and relationships. So that is why we capped it. Power Table Live is sold out. So um, Whitney, to wrap this all up as we talk about 2027 as well. Um, this is now your second year with Power Table Live. So, what would you say to someone who is listening to this, who has missed out on this year, um, but is thinking about grabbing their ticket for 2027?
SPEAKER_00Do it. Just do it. Don't think about it. Like, don't wait until you think you're ready because that that's not gonna happen. And I mean, like I told you, I'm I had no idea why Taylor told me to come last year. And I'm really glad I listened to her. So just know that, like, no matter where you are in your business, there is room for you at the table. Like there, there is a seat for you. You do belong there. Um and you're gonna get a lot more than you expect. Like you've you've already heard everything for today that we're doing for this year. So I think you probably already know that we set a really high bar. Um, and next year is gonna be even better. Like, and like I said, I this business I've built because of Power Table last year. Um, so you really, you really don't know what's gonna come out of it, but it's it's powerful. Um, but I mean, we're we're pulling for each and every one of you and sharing you on. And so we're we're so excited for for all of you to be there. And you know, if you aren't quite sure if you want to be there next year or should be there next year, please reach out to one of us because I promise you you belong there. But I also know that there's a lot of just internal dialogue that may make you think otherwise. So please reach out because we we want you there.
SPEAKER_01I'm so excited. And I, as you were talking about that, I really just thought like that's exactly what I want every woman to know is like it is okay if you don't personally feel like a hundred percent confident, ready when you walk into the room. That is not a requirement to be at Power Table Live. But what is a requirement is a belief that you might be ready and that you're willing to go all in a bed on yourself to be there and to find that out. And I can guarantee you are actually much closer to your goals and your dreams than you think you are.
SPEAKER_00So if you're there are a lot of women that are gonna tell you exactly what you need to hear to get into that mind frame. So if you need somebody to cheer you on and get you moving, please, please find me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. And it's you know, I think one of the biggest lessons is like it's not a linear path. Like the growth that you want, the opportunities you want, they're not a linear path. So um, something I think a lot of people come in as have it in and have these aha moments of like, wow, that woman's on all of these stages that I actually make more money in my business than her. Or wow, they're doing these things at the same time. And I thought I would need to be at, you know, further down the road before I even started that. So there's just a lot of breakthroughs that you don't expect until you're actually in the room and you have access to those kinds of conversations. Right. So if you are listening to this and you're thinking, yep, Whitney's right, I need to be in that room. Um, we have opened up pre-sale for 2027. It is 50% off through May 11th. That is the lowest price the conference will ever be. We're not discounting again. Like, and I can tell you from 2026, I only ran one discount for the whole year and the event sold out. And that one discount was a pre-sale. That is it. So you want to grab your ticket now. Um, the rooms that you put yourself in truly shape everything, not just what you learn, but also how you think, how you lead, and what becomes available to you as a result. And Power Table Live is that room. So if you're coming this year in 2026, we will see you very soon. And if you're not, this might be the moment where you decide next year you are going to be in that room. You can grab your tickets to Power Table Live 2027 at the link in the show notes. And I will see all of you who are coming to PTL 2026 in just a couple days. Bye, everyone. Bye.
